I have done a really poor job of posting lately and every time I think of doing it I am overwhelmed by all I need to update. So I finally made myself sit down and get the Rowley family up to speed on life!! Hopefully I can keep up on it and not overwhelm myself again :)
We will start with Christmas since that is where I left off. This year we spent Christmas in Logan and were blessed with a white Christmas!! Christmas Eve was spent at my parent's house where we had a soup and potato bar. We get to have the 90 year old neighbors across the street join us which is always a special treat. They have some great stories about their kids and how much this world has changed. We really missed Dad being there especially hearing his silly stories. He is forever going to be apart of our Holiday celebrations and we treasure the memories we have made with him.

We carried on the tradition of the Nativity movie that the church puts out with a kid's Christmas story from Grandma after that. We then open Christmas Pj's, then head home for a quiet night and early morning. The next morning was relaxed and fun with all the kids and parents opening gifts and eating breakfast. We decided to make mom's Christmas a little more special and donated all our money used for each other to get her some extras that dad always took care of. That sure made the day more special for Trent and me.

The next day we set out on the snowy streets to Richfield to spend time with the Rowley clan. We spent 3 days there and enjoyed Colleen's fabulous cooking and the frenzy of all the grandchildren. The boys hunted while the women got caught up on fun stories and their reading. We played games (which I love) and sent the kids out in the snow.
Family is such a great way to spend the holidays!! But eventually its back to the real world of work and schedules. We did enjoy a great New Years night with fun friends and lots of laughter!! New Years day was spent on the hills, sledding with cousins and in Trent's case sledding with the Smiths!! Tait and I joined my sisters and their kids on a hill in Hyde Park. Tait was just chilling and I couldn't tell if he enjoyed sledding or not. We went down on a two man sled but half way down the hill the sled went out from under us and I kept going losing Tait in the middle...still no crying :) We decided after that to take the slower tube and we had a lot of fun with that.

Life got back to normal after that and I am determined to be more on the ball for our new year!!
