I don't know how it happens, but our children (especially Makenzie) are attractive to bees. I have never been stung by a bee in my 30 years of existence (knock on wood) but both Mak and Colton have been stung this summer.
Makenzie was at my aunts house playing by her garden, which has a wasp catcher, she then came hysterically running towards me with her hand under her leg. She had been stung by a bee. When I asked her to remove her hand a wasp fell out. She had grabbed the bee when it stung her and it kept stinging her until she let go. That resulted in 5-6 stings. Crazy HUH.
Colton was next. He was sitting in the backyard swinging on the swings when one stung him on the leg.
Makenzie was stung 2 more times later that summer, once at my mom's and then again going up to the water slide at the Aquatic Center. We hope that she doesn't become allergic to them. (I've heard that you can if stung a lot) We are glad that she will still go out and play. (Two years ago she spent the summer indoors after being stung at the neighbors...long summer!)
Hey if anyone has any good rememdies for stings we would love some pointers. so far the baking soda and pennies have been good friends.

Summer fun!!
We have been able to have such a fun summer and are sad to see it winding down. We have spent the 4th of July in Richfield, reunions in Idaho and one in Mountain Green, and swimming in the back yard and at aunt Melinda's. A fun trip to Bear Lake with the Smiths and to Preston for the Rodeo Parade. Here are our pictures, enjoy!!
