Missing Tooth

Well it finally came, the first loose tooth of our parenthood. Trent and I were both queasy at the thought of having to pull Makenzie's first tooth out but luckily she did it herself. Five minutes before heading off to school Wednesday morning she popped that sucker out after breakfast. She was SOOOOOO excited. I had forgotten how teeny those things are so we put it in a safe place to give to the tooth fairy. Well it snowed that night and the tooth fairy was afraid to get her fairy wings wet so she waited till the next night to take Makenzie's tooth. (I know our first lost tooth and we as parents totally dropped the ball by forgetting about the tooth, Makenzie understood though!) She made out better than we did as kids by getting her first dollar. We can't wait for the next tooth to fall out! (anyone have a spare dollar they can loan out?)

Yay for Makenzie! I can't believe you guys dropped the ball! Ha ha, it makes me laugh. I'm glad Makenzie was brave about it.

What a cutie! That first tooth is a big milestone. Remind me to tell you about the dental floss miracle trick next time we talk.

And do not fret...the tooth fairy is a fickle gal...she just picks up those teeth around our house whenever it's convienent for her!

I've learned that nobody cares if the tooth gets picked up a day late...as long as there's a shiny gold dollar in it's place! :)

She's so cute!! She held onto that for a while. I remember it getting loose in Richfield, and she was so scared at first!

It's true. There was quite the panicked little look on her face when it first became loose. :) I'm glad she's excited about it though, and that you as parents have made it through another milestone! :)

Funny, I too remember her showing me the looseness of it. Brave gal to pull it (wimpy mom, gall). Just a while ago we were excited about Paige getting her first tooth. Just think that she'll loose it in a few years. Oh well. Love ya, Melinda
